OPI Brights Collection 2015

Hi lovelies! Today I have the latest OPI Brights Collection 2015 to show you. In Australia this Brights Collection is 8 shades; 2 glitters, 3 creme jellies, 2 shimmers, and a white "Put A Base On It" polish to be worn underneath these colours to make them stand out more (which I found was pointless and not needed at all). All polishes applied really easily and were fully opaque in 2 coats. No topcoat was applied in the photos. OPI Retails for $19.95 and is available from Myer and David Jones. Here's a look at the polishes!

I Sea You Wear OPI - A beautiful duochromatic blue/green shimmer with blue glitters through it. This polish is stunning and glows on your nails! This is one of my favourites from this collection.

Down To The Core-al - This beauty is my favourite colour from the whole collection. It's hard to see in the image below but it is a magical soft peach/coral with a pink duochrome and shimmers through it. It also glows on your nails! In love!

Can't Hear Myself Pink! - A mid toned pink glitter. It is quite sheer and liquidy but builds coverage well with two coats. This also gives a glowing look.

Hotter Than You Pink - A bright barbie pink creme with blue shimmer undertones. I don't find this colour very exciting unfortunately.

I STOP For Red - A Red/orange jelly. Love this colour!

The Berry Thought Of You - A medium pink toned jelly. This is a beautiful shade.

My Car Has Navy-gation - A deep blurple creme. I'm a sucker for these types of colours. Ink in a bottle!

Red Earth - CC Cream & Lipstick Review

Hi all! Hope you are having a great week so far. Today I have two Red Earth products to share with you; the Colour Correcting Light Perfecting Cream in the shade 03 Tan (RRP $35.00) and a Pure Colour Pigment Rich Lipstick in the shade 20 Red Wine (RRP $24.00)

I really like this CC cream as it's lightweight and evenly corrects and hydrates your skin. It covers any redness you have and leaves you with a flawless finish. The only downside is that it doesn't photograph the best. It doesn't say it contains SPF in it or not, so I assume it doesn't, so I'm confused as to why it leaves a white cast on my face in flash photography? Anyone know how that happens?

As for the lipstick, it's a beautiful deep red wine that you can dab on for a flush of colour or apply regularly and have a gorgeous creamy deep colour on your lips. I think this colour suits my skintone perfectly. It is really hydrating too! I'm in love with this colour and will be wearing it a lot this winter!

My Skincare Routine

Hi lovelies! Today I have a skincare routine post to share with you. Since the colder months my skincare has been amped up and my skin is looking pretty good these days (minus the occasional hormonal blemish here and there). My skincare is pretty basic. I don't go too crazy with different products and methods to apply them but my general routine is as follows.

Every morning, in the shower I will use the Goodness Every Week Face Scrub (RRP $12.95) (which I find gentle enough for daily use). It's a really nice chia seed oil based scrub that gently exfoliates dead skin cells. Once I'm out of the shower I will put on a small amount of the Goodness Chia Seed Oil Every Morning Moisturiser (RRP $16.95), particularly around my chin area (which is my driest area on my face) and then once that has fully dried, I will use 2-3 drops of the Goodness Chia Seed Facial Oil (RRP $19.95) all over my face for extra hydration. This combination of the moisturiser (which is the first moisturiser I've used where I could definitely get away with just using it alone and feel hydrated, plus it smells like watermelon) and the Chia Seed Oil (instant hydration and glowy skin = win!) has dramatically reduced my chin redness and greatly helped the overall look in my skin's texture and appearance. Goodness is available from Chemist Warehouse, Priceline and selected Woolworths.

In the evening I use the Sanctuary Spa Ultimate Facial Cleansing Oil (RRP $19.95, online here), especially if I've worn makeup that day for super soft, clean skin. Once I have rinsed it off and pat my face dry, I repeat my morning routine of the facial moisturiser and facial oil combination. Once or twice a week, after I have cleansed my face, I will apply a face mask. I've been absolutely loving these two face masks together as I can put the Deep Pore Clearing Mud Mask by Red Earth (RRP $35.00, online here) all over my face, and I will use the Melt-Away Mask by Thalgo for Dry/Very Dry Skin (RRP $61.00, online here) just on my chin and around my nose and it perfectly cleans and hydrates parts of my face that need it most. They both effectively deep clean and hydrate perfectly and do exactly what good specifically targeted face masks should do! My skin is giving me a great big kiss!
